Eileen McAvoy Boylen has worked in sales and marketing communications across a variety of disciplines including: consumer products manufacturing, technology, agency client services, and sports and event marketing. 

With nearly 20 years at the Gillette Company, and senior positions at Woolf Associates and Arnold Worldwide, she has both client and agency side experience.  As a VP at Arnold, her leadership on the American Legacy Foundation’s truth Campaign merited a PMA Reggie Gold Award in 2002.  The program was also named BRANDWEEK’s Guerilla Marketing Campaign of the Year.  Her other clients have included Verizon, The Boston Red Sox, Cognifit LTD, Momentum, Liz Claiborne, AMEX, and A&E.

Since 2004, she has worked as a successful freelance writer for agencies including MARS Advertising, Detroit, MI, and Berman Gobin Creative, Watertown, MA.  She has also been a frequent contributor to The Boston Sunday Globe, (See Published Clips) and recently appeared as a guest on The Today Show to discuss a More Magazine article about mid-life career change. Eileen is also an active member of the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) and the South Shore Women's Business network.

She holds a Masters Degree in Communications from Boston University’s Graduate School of Public Communications, and an MBA from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management.  Her undergraduate degree in Education also provides a strong foundation in training and instructional design.
